Practical Endodontics: Pathway to Improve Endodontic Practice is a 2-day intensive CPD course designed to equip dental professionals with a strong foundation in both the theoretical principles and practical techniques of modern endodontics. Whether you're new to endodontic procedures or looking to reinforce essential skills, this hands-on course will guide you through the core elements of root canal therapy—from diagnosis and isolation to access cavity preparation, canal shaping, and obturation. By combining comprehensive classroom teaching with extensive hands-on sessions, participants will build confidence in delivering safe, precise, and effective endodontic treatments in a clinical setting.

Canal Preparation using Hand & Rotary Files
Irrigation & Canal Disinfection Techniques
Obturation Methods: Cold Lateral & Warm Vertical Condensation
Emergency Pain Control & Post-operative Endodontic Care
Use of Magnification Tools (Microscope & Loupes) for Enhanced Precision

Chronology of this course

Day 1 – Theory & Foundational Practical Training

Morning Session (4 Hours – Theory)

·         Introduction to Endodontics (30 mins): Overview of endodontic principles and the role of the dentist.

·         Assessment of Endodontic Complexities (1 hour): Understanding pulp physiology, pain management, and diagnosis.

·         Importance of Isolation – Rubber Dam (30 mins): Role of isolation in infection control; rubber dam placement steps.

·         Canal Anatomy & Access Cavity Preparation (1.5 hours): Assessing restorability, conservative access design, diagnostic aids.

·         Working Length & Chemo-Mechanical Preparation (30 mins): Irrigation techniques and apex locator use.

Afternoon Session (2 Hours – Hands-On Practical)

· Rubber Dam Placement & Isolation (1 hour): Hands-on practice using extracted teeth or models.

· Access Cavity Preparation (1 hour): Practical training focused on access design and execution.

Day 2 – Advanced Full-Day Practical Training

Full-Day Session (6 Hours – Practical)

·         Canal Preparation (2 hours): Use of hand files, rotary systems, and shaping protocols.

·         Irrigation & Disinfection (1 hour): Techniques to ensure optimal canal cleanliness.

·         Obturation Techniques (1.5 hours): Cold lateral and warm vertical compaction methods.

·         Emergency Pain Control & Post-Operative Management (1 hour): Managing endodontic emergencies and aftercare.

·         Magnification in Endodontics (30 mins): Use of microscopes and loupes; hands-on magnification practice.

With a special interest in root canal therapy, he’s known for providing expert-level care with a patient-focused and approachable style. He offers specialist endodontic services across several leading dental practices in the UK and brings that expertise directly into his teaching at Sage Academy. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mubarak is a devoted motorcycle enthusiast, often exploring scenic routes as a way to relax and reflect.
