The course combines 4 hours of in-depth theory with 3 hours of hands-on practical training, helping participants gain the confidence to administer local anaesthesia safely and effectively in clinical practice.

Midday Session – Theory (2 Hours)


Types of Local Anaesthetics
- Esters vs Amides
- Topical anaesthetics
- Role of vasoconstrictors


Equipment in Local Anaesthesia
- Syringes, needles, and cartridges
- Safe handling and storage
- Troubleshooting common issues


Practical Session – Maxilla (1.5 Hours)


Maxillary Anaesthesia Techniques
- Maxillary anatomy and landmarks
- Aspiration techniques
- Infiltration vs block anaesthesia


Hands-On Training
- Infiltration techniques on maxillary teeth
- Block anaesthesia under supervision
- Personalised feedback to refine skills


Practical Session – Mandible (1.5 Hours)


Mandibular Anaesthesia Techniques
- Mandibular anatomy and landmarks
- Injection site accuracy
- Inferior dental nerve block
- Mental and long buccal nerve blocks


Hands-On Training
- Practising nerve blocks under supervision
- Working on manikin jaws or peers
- Technique adjustments for different patients
- Post-injection care and complication awareness

In her spare time, Radhika enjoys cooking and baking and going for long walks!
