Biography

Qualifications: BDS (Dundee, 1984), MFGDP (RCS Eng), PGCert Endodontics (Warwick, 2010)

Dr Patel is one of the most esteemed instructors at Sage Academy. He qualified in 1984 from the University of Dundee (Scotland) and has since built an impressive career spanning over three decades in General Dental Practice.

Having practised in Hampstead and West London for more than 30 years, Dr Patel has delivered dentistry of the highest standard to generations of patients. His dedication to excellence was recognised in 1994 when he was awarded Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

While he is highly skilled in all areas of general dentistry—including Adult Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Crown and Bridgework, and Minor Oral Surgery—Dr Patel has a particular interest and specialism in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment). In 2010, he completed postgraduate training in Endodontics at Warwick University, earning a Postgraduate Certificate, and has since accepted referrals for complex cases from fellow practitioners.

Dr Patel remains committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements. He is currently expanding his clinical expertise to include Botox and Facial Aesthetics, aligning with the evolving landscape of modern dentistry.

A passionate mentor, Dr Patel believes in sharing his knowledge and experience for the benefit of both patients and colleagues. In 2015, he was appointed as a Joint Trainer for Foundation Dentists by NHS England, a role through which he continues to inspire and guide the next generation of dental professionals.

Outside the clinic, Dr Patel nurtures a deep interest in botany, with a current focus on grafting techniques and tropical plants. He also enjoys playing cricket and chess during his downtime.
